In my opinion, the best way to heal a tattoo is:

For the first 2 or 3 hours you will cover it with film and Vaseline.

  • After this time, remove the himo and wash the tattoo with plenty of water and soap (preferably neutral) and dry it with kitchen paper without rubbing or scratching the tattoo.
  • Apply a thin layer of cream and massage the area until absorbed.
  • Cover it again with plastic (this step is optional and should last a maximum of 3 days).

Do these steps 3 times a day until the tattoo begins to peel off the skin.

From that moment on, it only burns moisturizing.

IMPORTANT

  • For 15 days, do not sunbathe or UV rays and do not bathe in the sea or the pool.
  • Avoid contact with chemicals and laser hair removal.
  • Do not pick off the scabs in case they appear.

I tell you that lately I usually advise clients that the first two days NOT to put on cream to help the tattoo dry as quickly as possible.

Otherwise all the same!

In any case, each tattoo artist has their own healing system, meaning that there are always small differences between the care processes that each one advises according to their own experience and tattoo style.

Always pay attention to your tattoo artist’s advice!
